Okay team, this is something you will hear again and again from me, and since it’s been a while since I’ve talked about it, I thought it was time for a reminder.
Everyone reading this right now is most likely looking for at least one of the following:
- You want to lose weight
- You want to feel good in your skin
- You want to improve athletic performance
- You want to feel good and have more energy
Now I’m betting you have at one time or another gone on a diet. And you probably have done this multiple times.
You lose some weight (usually 10 to 20 lbs) then you gain it back. Then you do it again and again. Some of you have lived this life for 10 to 20 years or more.
And then you found me. And the first thing I told you is “we don’t do diets”. Why? Because they are not a permanent fix to what you want (see above!). If diets were permanent you probably wouldn’t be here right now!
But you know what IS permanent? Making CHANGES to how you eat and improving your relationship with food!
We want little habits that build up over time, so that the consequences of these changes is what you came here for- weight loss, leaning out, feeling amazing in your body, tons of energy, crushing your workouts!
And how are we getting there?
- We eat consistently throughout the day
- We focus on mostly nutritious foods most of the time
- We exercise regularly
- We spend time LOVING our bodies- the way they are RIGHT now
We spend time resting and get lots of sleep
And then we watch our bodies change over time- because it takes time to make these things permanent. And in the meantime we find a balance between salad and cupcakes.
You are an amazing human being- I know you are. So I want to challenge you to spend this week caring for yourself the way I see you- as the wonderful person you are.
And remember, we don’t do diets. We do lifestyles.
